It's an honour for Bug to be a part of the "Why Do You Do It?" exhibition first edition with Boomer Gallery. My two art pieces "Headless" and "sábio" was a part of this amazing exhibition and it was curated by Tabish Khan who is a famous art critic! I went to the private opening event last Friday and it was amazing to meet some of the great artist that are a part of this exhibition. I found it very humbling that the gallery was a 2 minute walk to the shard and not far from London Bridge which is AMAZING to say the least. Thank you Boomer Gallery!
About the art pieces:
Headless
I was in Cardiff making this artwork hours before a Wales rugby game was on. It was packed with people walking around, excited, singing, talking to each other not bothered by what’s going on around them. Whereas I was confused, lost, taking so much in, all the noises, lights and smells. This image is from a group of friends walking past while I was ‘standing still.’ I edited this like this because in this situation, I felt all confused about what’s going on around me, because of this I couldn’t take everything in around me.
Sábio
I made this piece of artwork in Cardiff before a Welsh rugby game. I hate going into busy packed out places, I feel I can never identify what anything is or what’s going on. In this picture there’s shops, people walking, dogs, fences, trees, pavement and a cloudy grey sky. But I don’t want you to identify what anything is.
